Guest Services
Upon arriving at the Mart, make sure you stop by guest services, located at each entrance. Register your name with a Mart guest services representative in order to receive updates on all of the major events and sales taking place throughout the year. While registering, our knowledgeable guest services representatives can help you narrow down your search and direct you to the appropriate showroom based on your needs. They can also provide you with information about the area and help answer any additional questions you may have about the different furniture styles represented by over 1000 premier manufacturers located throughout the Mart.
 
 
Finishing Touch Freight Services
We realize that you may have traveled hundreds, even thousands of miles to make your furniture purchases. Finishing Touch Freight Services, located on Level 4 at the south entrance, will see to it that your merchandise is transported safely and professionally to your home. Finishing Touch Freight Services works with professional in-home delivery businesses and can arrange shipment of your furniture to anywhere in the world. You can either stop by the office during Mart hours, call 800-874-6486 (toll free), 828-431-4766 (local), fax 828-431-4765, or email service@finishingtouchfreight.com.

Shipping charges are separate from your furniture purchases. The stores that you purchase from will still honor any shipping discounts they offer you if you decide to consolidate your orders through Finishing Touch Freight Services.

If you wish to consolidate your purchases into one shipment, you will need to place all orders in the same name and fill out the “Request for Consolidation of Merchandise” form located at each guest services desk or in the Finishing Touch Freight Services office, located on Level 4. Turn in your form to the Finishing Touch Freight Services office as soon as you are finished shopping, even if you don’t want your furniture shipped right away.

Merchandise that is purchased “ready-to-go” off the showroom floor can be shipped separately from special-order merchandise. If your purchases total 500 pounds or more, you may split-ship and receive the same discounted rate as if all the furniture were shipped together. You must let Finishing Touch Freight Services know which stores you would like shipped first, and which will be delivered later.

If your merchandise needs to be stored longer, please make sure to let Finishing Touch Freight Services know so that storage fees can be discussed. Typically the carriers are willing to store furniture for 60 days before any storage fees are incurred. A representative at Finishing Touch Freight Services can help you decide the best course of action for your personal situation.

You may contact Finishing Touch Freight Services at any time for information on your order, including the name of the delivery company and whether or not all stores have released your purchases to the delivery company.

The carrier will notify you at least 48 hours before home delivery. Please make sure that the shipper has your correct address and confirm that the shipment includes of your furniture purchased from each store. Be sure to clear space in the rooms where furniture is scheduled to be set up. You may need to provide an extra person at your home to assist with delivery if any single item weighs more than 350 pounds or if any large, heavy furniture must be carried up stairs or through narrow turns.

Upon arrival of your furniture, please have payment for freight charges available. Approved forms of payment include certified check or money order. Payment is required prior to unloading any of your merchandise. It is extremely important to carefully inspect each piece of furniture as it is unwrapped and brought into your home. If there are any damages, you must refuse the damaged item and contact Finishing Touch Freight Services immediately. Make notes on your bill of lading in regards to any damaged or missing items so that the situation can be addressed promptly by the carrier. Decorating & Design Services
Most showrooms have professional designers on staff and their services are complimentary. Designing Women, located on Level 3, offers fee based shopping and design services for those who wish to hire someone to help them with their interior design needs while they are here. Call (828) 328-5200 to set up an appointment.
 
On-Site Gourmet Café
Once you arrive at the Mart, you do not have to leave until your shopping day has ended. The Mart offers an on-site gourmet café, located on Level 2. Take a break from your shopping and grab a quick bite to eat at Hickory's popular cafe Grapevines, which specializes in gourmet sandwiches, salads and soups.
 
 
On-Site Wi-Fi Coffee Bar
Jump start your shopping experience with a specialty coffee and a snack from the Mart’s on-site Wi-Fi coffee bar. Hickory Coffee Co., located on Level 1, offers beverages and snacks for those occasional breaks you may need throughout the day to re-energize. If your laptop is equipped with a wireless card and is Linksys compatible, you will be able to use it at the Hickory Coffee Co.
 
Group Tours
Special group tours are available upon request. The marketing department is happy to welcome your group, give a general overview of the Mart and provide welcome bags for each group member. Please call (800)-462-MART to make arrangements for your group’s tour.
 
 
Gift Certificates
Hickory Furniture Mart gift certificates are available for purchase in any amount through the marketing department. Payments are currently accepted by cash or check. Call (800) 462-MART for more details. A Hickory Furniture Mart buying guide, floor plan of the Mart, calendar of upcoming events and letter will be sent out with each gift certificate purchase.
 
 
Personal Shopper Program

Catawba Valley Furniture Museum
Stop by and visit Catawba Valley Furniture Museum, located on Level 1 at the west entrance. Enjoy our historical furniture display, which includes some of the area’s first pieces of furniture produced. You can also look at a display of tools that were used by early furniture makers and a family tree of famous name brand furniture manufacturers from this area.
 
 
Visitors Center & Lounge Area
Hickory Furniture Mart is located close to many popular area attractions. Stop by the Visitors Center, located on Level 1 at the west entrance to pick up a collection of area maps and brochures. There is also a lounge area, complete with a sofa, recliner and TV where you can relax with your family and discuss your purchases and your next destination.
 
 
Reading Room
If you just want to take a break from your shopping experience and read a chapter from your favorite book, or if you want to look through the latest furniture and home magazines provided by the Mart, stop by the Reading Room, located on Level 2.
